Project info
Spice it Up is a thai restaurant that is well anchored in the community in the northern rivers and has been established over 20 years. It does have a strong existing clientele, but also an ever growing one as the town booms with newcomers, gentrifies and is home to more alternative cultures than most locations. In this rebrand, the aim is to represent the culture, taste and love this restaurant has brought over the years but also to allow it to take it to the next level with a fun and vibrant design that the younger crowd will love.
Logo Design
The logo is composed of two elements, firstly an illustrative content with the Snapper fish and chilli. These were hand drawn and represent the most famous dish of the restaurant, being the whole fried snapper, as well as a chilli, being a ingredient the owners are passionate about and suitable to the restaurant name: “Spice it Up”.
Secondly we have the typography. Both fonts were hand drawn and later digitalised and matched with a resembling existing font.
Our work here being full package Branding that will be applied to menus, stationery, apparel and merchandise, we created several logo variations. Here you can see our primary logo followed by our secondary / stacked logo.
Stationery
As well as menus, we crafted a full suite of stationery for our client to use. From a letter head to a thank you slip as well as business cards for individuals and for the business, this restaurant is able to share its identity with customers and suppliers.
Apparel and Merchandise
Every restaurant needs shirts so we created a series of polo shirts to suit our client needs, as well as simple casual front of house tee. We also prepared a design for trolley keys which customers might enjoy and a few keyrings for the staff as we thinks its handy.
